Position Summary

VIDA STYLE is a luxury consignment boutique that specializes in curated, rare designer pieces and vintage treasures. The brand focuses on delivering an exceptional, high-end fashion experience through personalized in-store styling and sales.

The Sales & Styling Associate plays a key role in creating an exceptional shopping experience by delivering outstanding customer service, providing personalized styling assistance, and maintaining a beautiful, organized sales floor. This position is responsible for ensuring the store is welcoming, visually appealing, and easy to shop while supporting daily store operations and contributing to sales goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Customer Experience

Welcome every customer with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

Build relationships with customers by offering personalized styling advice and product recommendations.

Create a memorable shopping experience that encourages repeat visits and customer loyalty.

Assist customers with locating merchandise, answering questions, and completing purchases.

Represent VIDA STYLE’s commitment to sustainability, quality, and exceptional service in every customer interaction.

Sales Floor Operations

Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor throughout each shift.

Ensure merchandise is properly sized, categorized, color-coordinated, and presented according to VIDA STYLE merchandising standards.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, following all company policies and checklists.

Prepare and organize fitting rooms, displays, and specialty areas to ensure they remain customer-ready.

Process expired consignment pickups accurately and professionally while providing excellent customer service.

Merchandising & Visual Presentation

Merchandise products to maximize visibility, accessibility, and sales potential. Refresh displays, mannequins, specialty racks, new arrivals, and promotional areas as directed by management.

Monitor the sales floor throughout the day and proactively recover merchandise to maintain an attractive shopping environment.

Identify opportunities to improve product presentation and communicate ideas to management.

Teamwork & Store Support

Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure efficient daily operations.

Assist with special events, promotions, live sales, and other store initiatives as needed.

Support management by completing additional duties that contribute to the overall success of the business.

Qualifications

Passion for fashion, sustainability, and customer service.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.

Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Ability to lift, move, and organize merchandise as needed.

Flexibility to work alternate Sundays and special events.

Discretion and confidentiality. Signing a mandatory non-disclosure agreement is a condition of employment. 

What Success Looks Like

A successful Sales & Styling Associate creates an exceptional experience for every customer, maintains a beautiful and organized sales floor, contributes to store sales through thoughtful styling and merchandising, demonstrates reliable attendance, and supports the team with professionalism, initiative, and a positive attitude.

This is position requires a regular schedule of three weekdays and every other Sunday, or as otherwise scheduled by management to meet business needs.

Reliable attendance is an essential function of this role. Employees are expected to report to work on time, complete their scheduled shifts, provide as much advance notice as possible when an absence is unavoidable, and demonstrate dependable attendance that supports the needs of the business and fellow team members.

On designated shifts, including select Sundays, the Sales & Styling Associate may serve as the Manager on Duty (MOD). In this capacity, the associate is responsible for overseeing store operations, supporting team members, addressing customer concerns, opening or closing the store as assigned, and ensuring the store operates smoothly in the absence of the General Manager or Owner.
